The Harz lynx project
An old inhabitant of the Harz has returned!
The last wild lynx of the Harz was shot some 200 years ago. Since 2000 there has been a repopulation programme, which has been successful: the animals wander through the whole Harz area and have settled in well and there have already been several cases of natural reproduction.
