Primeval Forest Path

This trail leads you to a short trip out of your way to the Brocken into the primeval forest

No vines, no impenetrable green walls. And yet, it is a primeval forest in the middle of Germany. On just 100-m walk you will learn why a forest combines life and decay. Walking on a secure path you will also learn why our ancestors believed that there were ghosts in the forest. Here, you will experience the power of nature.

The primeval forest path branches off the road leading to the Brocken just below the summit area. Some lines of the poet Bernd Wolff will accompany you on the trail.
